My Vices
I have to get rid of my addictions ASAP. I have exactly two of them that have led me on a path of destruction and blubber. They are soda and candy. Yes, the most common vices around and I chose both of them. I have to throw away all of my sodas and candies now..... Okay done. Nothing but water and juices from now on.
Water Water Water
I would love to drink water every second of every day, but there's this issue of forgetting to bring my water bottle to class and my parents have nasty tap water. Neither of my parents drink water... ever... so they don't understand when I complain about the quality of the tap water at our home. I have juices all over the house. Specifically tomato juice and grape juice. I abhor orange juice for some strange reason, but such is life.
Anyways, I have been begging my parents to buy a brita water filter for the longest time, but they continue to say that it's unnecessary and buy bottled water instead. Herein lies my issue. My parents do not recycle and if I drink the water bottles I have to collect them in boxes and take them to the recycling center myself. How annoying is that? It looks like that will be my battle for now.

Day 3
Control Your Eating
I was thinking today about uplifting books I've read. Most of the books that relate to eating habits are useless unfortunately. The only motivational books I've read are golf books. One in particular always said 'See it. Feel it. Do it. Hold it'. This was referencing how to have the perfect putt. How does this relate to eating properly? Technically it doesn't, but the idea of 'consistency' and 'repeating' hold strong. If I can see myself not eating junk and just hold it in my mind, maybe I'll break myself.
I decided to do a little research on good fats vs bad fats. Of course on the center of the page is regular chicken vs. fried chicken. Now, I love a good friend chicken, especially with skin on it. That is 4x fattier than skinless fried chicken. I've never had skinless fried chicken, but I think I'll give it a try. There wasn't anything revolutionary on there, just a helpful guide that tells you how disgusting your food really is. Thanks internet.
Luckily I'll never have to worry about cholesterol. I'm no vegetarian, but I'm not a huge fan of meats in general. I dislike all meats besides beef and chicken. Okay, I like shrimp too. High cholesterol comes from too much animal meat in your diet and it clogs up your arteries. Meat is good in regulating your body, but too much makes you a juicy cadaver. Delicious image isn't it?
Free Work Outs
I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of online workouts online (youtube). I have ordered P90x to try out, but until then I'm having fun looking at different dance workout routines that are simple and fun to do. Thank goodness I have an ipod though, their music choices are usually terrible.

Second Day
I feel victorious today. I went a whole day without drinking a regular soda. I have been drinking Coke Zero instead, but I will wean myself from these and go with water. It's sad how long I've gone without donating blood due to the thickness of my blood from too much soda. I hope to donate blood next month and will mark it as a milestone in my weight loss attempt.
Work Out Routine
It's hard to decide on a steady workout routine. I love working out, but it's hard to stay on a schedule when you're in school. Hopefully the caffeine addiction will wear off and I'll be able to wake up early enough to go out for morning walks. Luckily I live in the South where winter is rather mild - it's November 26th and 72 degrees.
6am- Walking
12pm- Cardio or Strength T raining
6pm - Walking
7pm - Dancing
I think that's a pretty solid schedule. Hopefully my classes won't get in the way since I only have one full week of classes left.
I tried waking up at 6am today. Damn was it hard. I now have to ensure that I fall asleep at 10pm every night. There's other people like me who cannot function without 8 hours of sleep... you know who you are.
This is where I point out that I find it difficult living with my parents. My dad made cookies today and the smell wafted up to my room and I snuck a cookie... or three. I threw away all of my sodas and snacks yesterday in a fit of annoyance with my life choices. Little did I know my father would unexpectedly ruin my triumph. I suppose I shall have to explain to them my intentions at some point so this incident does not occur again. I had to do twice the amount of dancing to make up for those cookies.

First Day (Thanksgiving)
My crazy plan is starting today. I would like to give a special thanks to the following redditor who gave me inspiration to begin my weight loss.
http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/ebc2m/reddit_i_did_it_i_am_really_proud_of_myself_and/
Most of my weight is on my legs and arms. I have always been a bigger build since I spent most of my life playing high-intensity sports thus having excess amounts of muscle on my arms and legs. My current weight is 215lbs and my goal is to reach 170lbs some time in the future. That might sound like a very high weight to some people, but in high school I was thin and lean and weighed 170lbs.
I know I have an addiction to bad foods. I need to stop this full-out. The best book I've read is 'skinny bitch'. It's for guys and girls to read so I highly recommend it to anyone who is reading this. Those ladies make you feel like a complete idiot for eating such shitty foods. Another great book/movie is Fast Food Nation as well as Super Size Me. I'm sure many people have already read these, but I think it should be a yearly viewing to keep from falling back into bad habits.
Daily Diet
Breakfast- Lowfat yogurt banana smoothie, Granola Bar.
Lunch- Chicken/Turkey, Mash, Dinner Rolls. Mmm Mmm Good Thanksgiving.
Dinner - Sugar free pudding
